My Jewelry Journey

My story
Jewelry has been my passion and my outlet

I started making jewelry at the end of 2022 and it has been a wonderful and challenging journey every step of the way. I have been able to explore my passion for jewelry and accessories and express myself through my work. When I discovered the art of making chains and chain mail styles my whole world changed! I fell deeply in love with linking hundreds of tiny jump rings together to make a beautiful repeating pattern and tiny little details!

Where did I get the name Liverdude?
My name is Olivia and Liverdude is the nickname that my nana gave me when I was a child. From a young age my nana taught me to be in tune with my creativity. By teaching me to sew and do various arts n crafts projects she helped me realize my passion for jewelry, accessories, and fashion.
Liverdude is in honor of that, Thank you Nana

Quality Assurance

I strive to make sure that my jewelry is durable and dependable

All of my silver colored jewelry is made with 100% stainless-steel jump rings. Stainless steel is very durable and is resistant to scratches, corrosion, heat and tarnishing. Stainless steel is water proof and hypoallergenic! The only maintenance this type of jewelry might need is the occasional washing with some soap and water! All my gold jewelry is made with 14 k gold plated brass jump rings. I choose to work with 14 k gold plated brass because it is a cheaper real gold option which allows me to keep my prices reasonable while also being durable. For 14k gold plated brass I recommend to not get it wet nor expose it to harsh chemicals eg. perfume. The occasional polishing with a jewelry cloth is the only maintenance gold plated brass will need.

Sustainability Initiatives

How I contribute to making jewelry more sustainable

I recognize the responsibility I hold in shaping a more eco-friendly future for jewelry and fashion.

I thrift and upcycle materials and beads whenever I can. When one of my pieces is made with upcycled materials it will be listed in the description. The remaining beads that I use are purchased from a local small business that exclusively sells jewelry supplies. I believe that it is of the utmost importance to support small businesses whenever possible.

In addition I get all of my jump rings from a business that is working towards more ethical business practices. They make efforts to reduce their carbon footprint by recycling and reducing the amount of plastic/dyed cardboard in their packaging.
